Strawberry Picking

We had fun picking strawberries. I even got a whole bucket picked myself in between taking pictures. God is SO good. It is a beuatiful day here in North Carolina. We picked strawberries and made it to church in time to drop Matthew off to serve at a funeral mass. He loves to serve! He was willing to give up picking strawberries if it was going to make us late! Joseph found what he called a "mutant strawberry" (see picture below. Sean found a "molar strawberry". M did not want me to take his picture for the scrapbook. I did anyway...so that later he can;t tell me I never took pictures of him! We also brought Flat Stanley along...the boys put the buckets on their heads and I took a picture of them with Stanle. Understanding the Scriptures-Apologetics

Matthew has been into studying the Bible. We decided to order this book: Understanding the Scriptures by Scott Hahn from EWTN. The book has a teacher's manual, student workbook and teacher workbook that goes along with it. We may order those soon. A friend used this book with her 7th grader and really liked it. Of course around our house, we love anything written by Scott Hahn!

We also ordered a new Catechism of the Catholic Church . Since Matthew has taken mine hostage, we decided he needed his own copy.

We ordered three copies of What Catholics Really Believe. We have given away more copies of this book to our Protestant friends than we can remember. It is an excellent way to sare the faith when they ask us questions. We also like a book titled Where's that in the Bible by Patrick Madrid. Matthew has also been reading this book!

EWTN shipped them quickly! They arrived yesterday and Sean has already started reading Patrick Madrid's book!
